We started Woodlief Farm in 2016 because we knew the impact that dried lavender and lavender essential oil could have on people mentally and physically. Here are 6 creative ways to use dried lavender and lavender essential oil that you can purchase from our store.
- Get rid of insomnia and headaches. If you suffer from either of these, lavender essential oil can help you. By adding just a few drops of lavender essential oil to a diffuser, you can be on your way to getting rid of your headache and getting more restful sleep.
- Bath Salts. Enjoy a soothing bath with both dried lavender and lavender essential oil. Just simply take a tea bag and add lavender buds to the bag and tie a knot in it. A few drops of lavender essential oil in your water as well is sure to create an aromatic experience.
- Soothe bug bites, flaky scalps, and restless legs. If you combine both rosemary and lavender essential oil together, the mixture has been proven to relieve itchy bug bites, dandruff, and restless legs.
- Drawer Freshener – Extend your laundry day freshness with dried lavender. Find an empty fabric bag and fill it with dried lavender then put it in your drawer to give your clothes a fresh scent. You’ll have to be sure to rotate and squeeze the dried lavender to release the natural essential oils from the buds.
- Moth Repellent – Did you know that moths do not like the smell of lavender? So much so, they will avoid areas that are protected with lavender. Use fabric bags with dried lavender in them to act as a moth repellent and protect your wardrobe.
- Foot Scrub – If you’ve got achy feet, dried lavender can come to the rescue for you too. To make a lavender foot scrub, you’ll need 2 tablespoons of dried lavender, 8 drops of lavender essential oil, 1 cup of epsom salt, and 1/2 cup of oil (either grapeseed, sweet almond, or olive). This scrub will be able to remove your dead skin while exfoliating and moisturizing your skin.
